Kymo documentation
Kymo is cookieless web analytics that tracks two audiences at once: the humans on your site and the AI crawlers reading it. One script tag, no cookie banner, no consent flow.
These docs are reference material. They assume you know HTML and can paste a script tag. Start with install, confirm events arrive, then read the concepts that make Kymo different from every other analytics tool.

- What is Kymo — the AI-visibility wedge in one screen.
- Install — the script tag, where it goes, what happens on first load.
- Verify — confirm events are arriving, and fix it when they aren't.
Concepts
- What counts — human events, what is dropped, how metering works.
- The bot taxonomy — indexing, training, and AI-answer traffic, category by category.
- Cookieless identity — the daily-rotating hash, in detail.
- AI visibility — crawlers versus AI-referred humans, and why both matter.
Guides
- Next.js, Astro, WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Plain HTML — install per platform.
- Goals — set up and read conversions.
- Reading the AI report — what the numbers mean.
- Migrating — from Google Analytics and Plausible.
Reference
- beat.js — the tracker: payload, custom events, opt-out.
- /api/beat — the ingest endpoint contract.
- Data retention — how long rows live.
Trust and privacy
- Privacy model — the hash, no raw IPs, no cookie banner.
- What we store — every field, listed.
- Limits — pause, never delete.
